The Garden Route, South Africa

garden route

Above is the famous The Garden Route from South Africa. This great scenic stretches from Mossel Bay in the Western Cape to the Storms River which is crossed along the N2 coastal highway over the Paul Sauer Bridge in the extreme eastern reach of the Western Cape. A paradise located between the Outeniqua and Tsitsikamma mountains, and the Indian Ocean.

Garden Route is rich in outdoor and extreme sports activities like ballooning, river rafting, abseiling, surfing, whale watching, shark diving, crocodile diving, elephant rides and boat trips.

Some call it the ‘Garden of Eden because of its lush green forests and sandy beaches.

It is also the site of Africa’s last remaining passenger steam train, the Outeniqua Choo Tjoe.
